Stephanie CaveAdvisor of the Month
"In the midst of coordinating housing tours, assignments and everything else that goes along with her job, I wouldn’t be surprised if Stephanie put in an additional 40 hours a week helping out RSA! Beyond advising the organization, serving as a resource and role model for emerging leaders, Stephanie has been amazing resource and friend."
Written by: Savannah Rose
Brittiny-Rae Gagnon
Executive Board Member of the Month
"Brittiny-Rae Gagnon’s unique and innovative programming ideas have brought the Resident Student Association to a new level in April. Many of her events cost less then previous RSA signature events but entail more detailed planning. Instead of bringing ready-made programs to campus or bringing entertainers, speakers or celebrities, B-Rae designs her own smaller programs to get the residents involved and doing things."
Written by: Meghan McCormick
Meghan McCormick
Regional Winner
Spotlight of the Month
"Meghan McCormick is an exceptional leader and force in not only Northeastern but also the community at large. There seems to be nothing that she is not 100% ready to commit to and she always has a smile on her face while doing it. As the school year was nearing the end and her graduation approached, Meg's involvement and dedication never waned."

Duck My Life
Regional Winner
Social Program of the Month
"Duck My Life was a new and engaging program that doesn’t require a lot of time and effort on the residents’ part. Ducks were hidden all around campus and in residence halls. In addition to the hidden ducks, various events were planned each hour all over campus. It was an excellent program to engage residents in a FUN event and form community in a relaxed atmosphere!"

City Year Earth Service Day
Community Service Program of the Month
"The City Year Earth Service Day was a great program, it allowed for volunteers to use their creativity in their different projects. From painting to cleaning, everyone worked with a smile and great attitude knowing that the students would be extremely excited come Monday morning when they saw their new play area."
Written by: Julie Rizzolo
Michaelle Lauraccuente
Resident Assistant of the Month
"Michaelle Lauraccuente was the Resident Assistant in 157 hemenway street, a smaller residence hall which often struggles with involvement. Always an excellent RA, actively programming every month and getting to know not just her floor, but everyone in the building by name. As a reward for her tireless dedication and desire to make a difference Michaelle deserves the OTM for RA of the Month."
Written by: Ian Burn
Ann Hill
Faculty/Staff Person of the Month

Her outgoing personality and ability to work with all types of students make her a wonderful professor to lead the Dialogues of Civilization program this summer."
Written by: Meghan Doty
Michael Becker

"Mike Becker has shown endless dedication throughout the month of April, from staying up all night hiding ducks to engaging the GC with the matching meetings committee, he has exemplified what a true resident should be."

February OTM Winners
Stephanie CaveAdvisor of the Month
“It is often difficult to find a staff member that is so willing to give time, energy, support, and guidance so generously, however, Stephanie has been able to serve us above and beyond her call of duty. I admire the energy Stephanie has for our dynamic group, and the time she devotes to advising it, and thus know that she is most deserving of the advisor of the month award for February 2009.”

White Hall Council
Organization of the Month
“This February I felt they did an above-and-beyond job in this capacity. With successful events like Open Mic Night where residents go and perform in the White Hall lounge for their fellow residents, this Hall Council brings entertainment and fun to their residence hall. White Hall's Council collaborates and communicates extremely efficiently and participation in their events is probably among the highest of Hall Council events.”
Written by: Christian Shannon
Savannah Rose
Regional Winner
Executive Board Member of the Month
“In today’s society it is hard to find an individual who will put themselves last and who will put the needs of others before their own. It takes a true friend and a true leader to put themselves last and sacrifice precious hours of work on his or her own projects in order to help another member within the same organization. The National Communications Coordinator of NU’s RSA, Savannah Rose, put her work aside in order to help a fellow E-Board member through a very stressful time.”
Written by: Julie Rizzolo
Kevin Wong
Spotlight of the Month
"As an active member of the General Council, Housing Services committee, and Stetson East Hall Council, Kevin Wong has exceeded expectations during the month of February. Fire and Ice dinner, a pizza party for all residents, and bought white boards for all common rooms. It is because of his total dedication to the residents and commitment to the Resident Student Association that I nominate him for February Resident of The Month."
Written by: Mallory Brown
Yona Chankin Gould

“Yona is often found putting others needs and troubles ahead of her own priorities. Whether it is making time to talk with her roommate or to help out fellow General Council members with interviews and projects, Yona's constantly displays a strong will to help those who need it.”

“Sinsational” Sex Week 2009
Social Program of the Month
“Sex Week has become a signature program, and this year's was beyond impressive with groundbreaking numbers of attendees at nightly programs. Both the Ron Jeremy Porn XXX debate and Rabbi Shmuley attracted full houses to the Curry Student Center Ballroom and the Blackman Auditorium. Having these big name people on campus, did not only bring recognition to them but to Northeastern University and RSA as well.”
Written by: Paola Manzano
ISSI’s Carnavale
Diversity Program of the Month
“The programs are as diverse as the students who put them on. Ranging from a showcase of traditional dances from around the world to a soccer tournament, with many food tastings in between, Carnivale has something for everyone. It exhibits the most variety of programming and does it at a consistent level of excellence. Students are encouraged to show off their national heritage and learn about other cultures in the process. The programming is not only fun, but educational and eye- opening.”

Jason Horton
Resident Assistant of the Month
“Jason's charismatic nature and unparalleled kindness make him an important role model for student leaders and for his residents in West Village G. Just this month, Jason capitalized on the many championship sporting events to help build NU pride and spirit through programming. He deserves a Resident Assistant OTM for all the hard work and dedication he has shown at Northeastern.”

M1LK Hall Council
Hall Council of the Month
“On February 5th, the M1LK (Melvin, International, Loftman, Kerr) Hall Council hosted a date auction to benefit the American Heart Association in celebration of Valentine's Day. Titled 'Bid Amore,' the members of this hall council advertised heavily throughout the halls to show off their 17 eligible bachelors, who were also residents of the complex. The M1LK Hall Council should be commended for their hard work and dedication to such a great program.”

Buddy
Faculty/Staff Person of the Month
“Buddy, the custodian for West Village B/C, deserves some recognition, not just for the month of February but for the year. He has been a friendly face I look forward to seeing in the morning. Buddy is a positive presence even if his job may not be the most glamorous. I think most of the WVC residents feel this way about him also from the way they give a cheerful 'Hello.'"

He will be the perfect Resident Assistant because he is easy to talk to and always willing to put 100% effort into every little aspect of his life. His dedication and involvement was high in February and will continue to grow as Pete grows from an emerging freshman leader to a main driving force of generosity and caring on campus life and in the community at large.”

Alex’s Lemonade Stand at PiketoberfestCommunity Service Program of the Month
"Piketoberfest is an event put on yearly by the PIKE fraternity at Northeastern. They bring the campus together for a fall festival on the main quad on Northeastern's campus for music, food and fun. This year, Boys Like Girls and Cute is What We Aim For performed while student groups tabled and the Resident Student Association BBQed for the large crowd. It was the perfect area for a lemonade stand as people were thirsty after eating their fill of the BBQ. The Stand looked great! There was information about the foundation there and a homemade sign made by some of the children our NRHH serves at Mission Hill School. The attendees of the program were more than willing, thanks to the fabulous free event they were at, to empty their pockets of change and one dollar bills to support a worthy cause. Thanks to the generous residents of Northeastern University we raised over $280 in only 5 hours!"

"Resident Assistants are not always recognized for the work they do even though it is an everyday event for them to help their residents out when they are locked out, having trouble with a roommate, or with any other problem. Chris Massad has done these tasks and so much more, increasing his efforts throughout the month of October. He has taken charge of the program "Willis Rocks the Vote" this October to ready us for the November election. Willis RAs are getting residents to register to vote for the upcoming presidential election. Not only is Chris helping out with the regularly planned times for students to register, he has been stopped in the hall or lobby on his way to or from one of his many obligations and he will help residents."

Just the first couple of months of school, Jon's programming and guitar playing has had a positive impact on the community of Kennedy Hall and he certainly holds much promise for his future years as a Husky. Just the way she took time in the first week to learn my name and always stops and says hi when she sees me walking in the hall. We maybe even have a small conversation. I know this sounds like it is insignificant but it honestly meant a lot to me. I have seen her personally take the time to talk with her residents and just try to help out wherever she can. I feel if anyone should be commemorated for his or her efforts during the month of September, then Abby Wagner should definitely be considered."
